Nge Michu, Chapter 2

Parking the car in the front of the hotel Druk, Khandu takes out a box from the front seat and locks the car. Getting inside, going directly to the counter, he books a single room. Taking the key, he walks up to the third floor. Unlocking the door, he gets inside. Switching on the light, he keeps the box on the bed. Room is clean but he is worried about something. Checking his phone, he locks the room and walks down back to the counter. The boy at the counter looks young.
There are a few customers in the lobby. Looking hesitant, he walks to the counter when the boy says, “How can I help you sir?”
“Umm.”
Khandu looks around when the boy stands looking at him.
“Sir?”
“I need some help bro,” says Khandu, his face going red.
“Okay. How can I help you sir?”
Going silent for a while, finally Khandu says, “How do you celebrate a birthday?”
“Birthday sir?”
“I mean, I am planning to celebrate my wife’s birthday, so the procedures?”
“Oh.”
After listening to the boy as he tells him everything about the birthday celebration procedures, Khandu thanks him and waits at the lobby when finally, his phone rings. Standing up, he goes outside, as Tshoki appears in front of the hotel, looking very beautiful, taking his breath away for a moment. Greeting her, he walks her inside, when the boy at the counter looks at them, looking very confused. As Khandu smiles at him, the boy shows him thumbs up, as they walk upstairs.
Unlocking the door, he lets Tshoki inside first. Getting inside, she stands inspecting the room when he follows her. Latching the door, looking at her, he says, “Please sit on the bed.”
Looking shy, Tshoki nods and sits on the bed holding her phone. As she sits down, he takes the box and place it on the small table beside the bed. Unwrapping the cake, he sticks candles on it when Tshoki looks at him smiling. Then he lights the candles and taking the table in front of her, he asks her to blow the candles when his phone rings. It’s his wife. Switching off the phone, he sings birthday song. Cutting a slice, she gives him and then he puts a slice in mouth, touching her lips softly.
Then he takes out a new box and gives her, when she unwraps the box and takes out a new Samsung phone. She screams out of happiness and hugs him tightly.
“You are so sweet. Thank you so much, my love. I Love you.”
Holding her tightly on his chest, caressing her hair, he whispers into her ears, “Welcome, love. Love you, too.”
As she switches on the phone and starts playing with the phone, he calls the counter for dinner. Sitting next to her, he looks at her happy face, when the waiter knocks. Keeping the food on the table, he looks at her, “Tshoki. Dinner?”
“Oh!”
She keeps her phone aside and brims with surprise as she sees varieties of dishes on the table. Eating dinner, talking about her days, he finally calls the counter. Then, a few minutes later, there is knock at the door. Going to the door, he gets drinks and keeps it on the table, when Tshoki says, “I am not going to drink.”
Making an innocent face, Khandu goes near her and says softly, “Love, it’s your birthday. Without drinks, there is no charm. A little.”
“No!”
“Pease!”
He keeps pleading and finally Tshoki says, “Only a little.”
Glass after glass, eyes get reddened and Tshoki loses her balance, when he looks at her pretending to be drunk. Going to her, he touches her hand slowly when she says, “Not today.”
“Please, baby.”
At Taba in Dema’s house, she is about to sleep after eating dinner when Tshoki’s phone rings. Frightened by the ringing, she looks at the phone and remembers Tshoki’s words to lie. Going to the table, she picks up the phone and keeps staring at the number. It’s her sister. Finally, she answers the call.
“Aunty, Tshoki is here at my home studying with me. Just now, she is in the toilet,” says Dema, her voice cracking and hands trembling.
Luckily, Tshoki’s sister hangs up the phone saying, “Okay, Dema.”
Thinking that she saved Tshoki today, keeping the phone on the table, she arranges her books when she hears knock. Frightened, she walks to the door and opens it when Tshoki’s sister stands there looking very angry as if she is going to swallow her alive.

Who I am supporting 2018 and why?

I am neither civil servant nor political candidate for 2018. However, I as a concerned citizen, I have my own perception after witnessing two terms of democratic rule. The two parties who rule us, DPT from 2008-2013 and PDP 2013-2018.

Both the parties were doing well. One party who sees the future and frame laws which will be useful for 100 years. On the other hand, other party who lack good planning and bring short term policies. I as a concerned citizen, I shall go with party who can foresee future and plan policies accordingly. I will not disclosed which party is doing well. I left for the reader to decide.

When I say, party with short term benefit policies, it doesn't mean that I am better than them. I am not better than them but I and everyone can easily judge the mistakes of any party. Public can judge the blunders that party does even though we don't have solutions to give them. That is main reason why I will go with party who are farsighted enough.

Some politician are born to be politician. There some politician who does great job and there are also politicians who always lie to gain the public attention. I am talking about politicians who is playing dirty games.

The two terms of democratic rule by two parties are getting over. I witnessed the difference with small margin regarding the leadership. I accepted the truth because not everybody who is elected for ruling or opposition will be good candidates. There are some candidates who were like parrots during public debate for the elections and sit like lazy pig after getting elected.

Speaking honestly, some party will finish their 5 year term in the mood of campaign. Everything they do will indirectly or directly the campaign for next election. Dear people, be careful in selecting your candidate. Please select the candidate who will teach you truth not the lie. I have learn lot of lying from many candidates which actually is not good. Politics is not always about lying.

Dear people,
Let us utilise the gift from throne in fruitful way. The only way of using fruitfully is by electing true candidates who can serve TSA-WA-SUM but not his own tsa-wa-sum.

Why are graduates still unemployed?

Have you ever wondered, why are we here in this renowned college? Not to mention, we all forget that we are being sent here basically to learn and grow both physically and mentally to face the reality of the world, beyond the campus of this college. Yes, many of us proudly say that we are the future nation builders, the leaders of tomorrow, but did you ever question, “Why are graduates still unemployed? How many of us really thought about this? Maybe, one third or even lesser than that. To find an answer to this question, I could not sleep peacfully last night, therefore, I have asked some of our senior graduates regarding this issue, who are still hunting for jobs, working hard day in, day out to earn a living.
Various factors contributing to graduates unemplyment are: Firstly, the attitude of the youth which plays a very crucial role in presenting oneself in front of the interview panel members, secondly, the mismatch of vacancies and course taken, where the announced vacancies are not relevent to the courses taken by the students back in their colleges. Thirdly, due to the increased number of graduates every year, the vacancies are limited thus when driven by the competition, graduates with low marks are being left out as the shortlisting is based on marks. Low marks in college can be related to factors like the choice of stream in class XII, where students choose the stream not based on their interest and aptitude but taking blindly driven by marks and family pressure, affecting performance in college.

Fourthly, graduates are not being able to take up business venture of their own and get involved in entrepreneurship, due to lack of limited funds and lesser scope in Bhutan, thus remaining unemployed, looking for civil service, which takes limited number of graduates every year. Lastly, graduates are not keen in taking so-called the blue collar jobs, which are plenty in private due to low income and lack of dignity of labour. Job security plays an important role in working private, thus discouraging graduates to join private companies as the job in private is not as secure as in government. Not to forget about the corrupt practice in selecting the relatives and known ones for various vacancies leaving behind those graduates from the poor family backgrounds, though they have good marks.

To conclude, unemployment is related to various factors like; the limited vacancy in the civil service, the increased number of graduates leading to intense competition, lack of the entreprenurial skills where many graduates are afraid to take risk, and the mismatch of youth’s job preference and the available opportunities in the market, where the graduates prefer white collar jobs to blue collar and finally, the cases of both seen and unseen cases of nepotism.

Thus, taking this opportunity to write this, I want to convey the message here. Everyone of us  here in this college is due to our good performance and interest or maybe due to the external preconditions being imposed upon by our family, now  it is high time for all of us to learn and grow, pursue the dreams that we want to achieve, not somebody’s. Let us not just seat and act like a poodle toy rather let us be fearless and brave to tackle the challenges that lie beyond this campus, keeping in mind that everything is possible if you do with your heart not being forced upon by someone.

Write whatever you think and why you should be writing your experience

I am not professional writer but I love writing my experience and what I know. I write not for rewards but for the pleasure. I know my standard of language. However, I don't bother how is my english. I just try to convey what I mean.

I am sure my structure of language will have many grammatical mistake. Still then I am fine. I write for the pleasure. Rather than writing good article with fine grammer I try to write interesting articles with flowering language. The articles which has humour.  The article which audience enjoy.

Article should be presentable and readable. It should be understandable. I will keep on writing my experiences and what I know. I will continue my hobby of writing till I can. From the writing, it give me a joy. It engage me. It save my boredom. writing has become my leisure time. I will utilize my leisure time always in meaningful way.

Do you write sometime? If so, it is good for you. If not, why you are not writing? You are shy of your english? You shouldn't shy. I know you can write readable and understandable articles. That is more than enough. We don't have to use bombastic words to make your articles boring. Always try to write in simple words. I never used bombastic words because I don't know the words. Even I don't want to learn and start adding in my articles. I don't want my readers to use dictionary while reading my articles. Even if readers know all the bombastic words, I don't want to include in my articles by searching in dictionary.

Good luck

Sometime social media is nightmare.

One of my friend alway chat with many girls. He always flirt girls. He has many girl friends. He looks simple but scary mind.

He was doing video call with his 4th girl friends. Suddenly the wechat application went down. That could be unfortunate incident for him.  They were talking about future when unfortunate incident happen. After 10 minutes his wechat was working. The same girl was calling him. This time girl is not the girl which he think. She was speaking louder than before. She was bit angry for hanging call in between when they were discussing about life event. My friend was saying nothing  but repeatedly saying, god promise, wechat application went down suddenly.

I listened attentively. The girl is proposing the break up since she is fate up with his act. She is saying that you always call when you feel bored. Do you think I am toy for you. Don't think you are like king of animals.

My views over their conversation and break up.
I think girl made good decision. I as his friend, he is always flirting one after another. He is educated guy but still his mind set is in 17th century style. He think girls are like toy. I wish girls are wiser like above incident. He always lie to girls. If he is on call with one girl, other girl will know he is on call. The girl is asking you are always busy. He was giving good reason by saying he was on call with professor. Ah! can't image with his lie. Why we have to lie to play with girls mind.

Sometime social media is nightmare. However, in this story it was other way round. It was life saving incident because of unpredictable application.

Saving animals and Government coming up with slaughter house I

Majority of Bhutanese are Buddhist. The core concepts of Buddhist is LAY JU DREY and THA DAMTSE. We believe in Karma. What we sow shall be ripe for the future. So, if we do good things today, the good things is going to follow in the future. Buddhism is the religion where it believe about Reincarnation. Many great Lama come to world again and again after they passed away because they did great things when they were on the earth. Similarly, we the common people have a chance to come to the world for second time after our death only if we do good things in this life. What we are experiencing in this life, good and bad experiences are the result of the action from previous life. If we have done good things, we will experience good things today. Therefore, what we will experience in next life will depend on today's deeds.

In Buddhism, we believe that each and every one on the earth has become our parents in one of the previous life. Even all animals has become our parents in one of the life. True Buddhist followers believe all living being on the earth are our parents and they will never eat parents meat. However, there are group of people who pretend to following the Buddhism but doing contradictory action. These people will have thousand of reasons just to eat innocent animals which was our parents once in precious life. I have seen many Buddhist followers reasoning out Buddha personally granted cow, pig, hen, cock and so on as vegetables. That is the creepy reason from fellow Buddhist practitioner. I am lost when they reason out like they eat animals for balancing eco-systems. This is another blunders that many Buddhist argue me when I request them to go vegetarian.

As I said in earlier paragraph, the silly reasons why Buddhist eat meat. I will again focus on another reason they point out. There are few Buddhist who argue me that eating meat is same as smoking. Guru Rinpoche has personally advice us to refrain from smoking since it is plant grown out of evil's prayers.  It is another creepy and astonishing reason from fellow Buddhist. How can we compare eating animals and smoking plant as same. If you are Buddhist you should refrain from eating meat from many points of views. One most simple reason is animals are our parents once in our previous life. If you are true Buddhist followers, you will never think of eating your parents meat.

I find a good reason to eat parents meat if we are going to die if we don't eat. I have never heard about people dying because not consuming meats. There is no point of arguing to eat meat. If you can't avoid simply tell you can't avoid. But why you can't avoid. The main reason is the habit. Your taste bud has cultivate habit to taste meat as tastier than any other food which actually is not. It is just matter of trying. Even a vegetables will taste better than meat if your taste bud has a habit.

To be honest, I really feel pity on someone when they eat meat. It is sad that people are eating animals for their taste bud pleasure.

I feel there is no point to bring Buddhism in between when we discuss about meat. The only reason I don't meat is because of pain. My religion is not Buddhism but peace. I can feel pain just from simple hit but did you realize the pain which animals are undergoing in deadly slaughter house. The pain which our parent are going through in slaughter house is immeasurable. Refraining from eating parent meat could be one of the element which directly contributing you as a Buddhist.

Is there any reason other than 1. ECO SYSTEM BALANCING
                                                 2. SAME AS SMOKING.

                                                 3. ANIMALS ARE LIKE VEGETABLES.
