Reflecting and realizing the childhood days.

 Reflecting the childhood days and realizing the present time.

The memories of childhood days are still fresh if the memories were splendid.  The days that I spent in primary school were among the memories, which gave me a second thought today. Dreaming of becoming doctor was my ultimate goal in my life during childhood days. The reason behind for becoming doctor was none other than as doctor are doing merit task in the society that benefit community as a whole. Doing a merit task in this life will help our life in next life. This is what actually the religious minded people believe. So, I born and grown up in society based on nyingma religion (Mahayana), and society belief in birth after death, I believe becoming doctor is a merit carrier in my life.

The days of primary class winded up with immature aim and goals of life. Entering into the secondary class, my goals of life gets modified. Upon the teacher advising that one has to have ambitions such a way 1^st aim, 2^nd aim and 3^rd aim. They told keeping 3 ambitions will help you in fulfilling your ambition. If 1^st ambition you keep doesn’t fulfill then you can fulfill 2^nd and so 3^rd. Accordingly, I maintain 3 ambitions for my life with my interest and capability. The 1^st aim was my childhood aim, 2^nd was to become engineer and 3^rd was to become school teacher. Dreaming itself, doesn’t solve in fulfilling of my ambition. With the mind concentrating on words: hardship, tackling obstacles on way of life, dedication in doing task and faith in what you are doing determine in fulfilling my ambition. I sweat during those days (secondary class) to let my dream come true.

The time for making my dream about 70% had approached in 2010 after I completed doing BHSEC. Declaration of result was made in early 2011. I couldn’t fulfill my 1^st ambition. I realized the advice made by my teacher to have at least three ambitions was indeed a good advice. I can say I am still not blind in taking my ambition for my life. I have still two ambitions that I have set for my life during secondary class. I could fulfill 2^nd ambition that I have set for my life. I am satisfied with that I could fulfill as it was also my one of ambition.

With fulfilling my 2^nd ambition doesn’t mean I have fully fulfilled. I have again an extra mile go ahead to attain the goal of my life. To become an engineer particularly the Electronic and Communication Engineer is the toughest task. One has to have a strong dedication, determinations and enthusiasm to become E&C Engineer. The current scenario of country Bhutan in regarding job for E&C engineer is out of question. To all the E&C engineer of Bhutan never disappointed with current scenario. The time is changing and country is developing. Developing country will always required E&C engineers for sure after few years. The only worried for me is how I can get all the relevant knowledge in the field of electronic and communication to ensure that job is searching me one day. I assure all the E&C engineers of Bhutan will survive as you live on this world with your knowledge of E&C.

New topic in the history of women in Bhutan

                           The new topic in the history of women in Bhutan.

The list of Ministers for second parliament on 25^th July 2013 create a new topic in the history of women in Bhutan. There were no women who had shoulders a Minister post till 2013 in the history of Bhutan. It was a same women so called Aum Dorji Choden who emerges as Women first engineer in late 20th century and today she was first women to be the minister. Now Lyonpo Dorji Choden was icon for Bhutanese women. She was brave women as she competes in male dominate society and could complete the race.

Lyonpo Dorji Choden was again the president of Druk Namrup Tshokpa, one of the party in Bhutan for Parliament. Leading a party itself was a great and it was a symbol of women competing with man in male dominate society.

For your bravery and good foot print for women in Bhutan, I would like to thank you from my heart with full hope that Bhutanese women will follow your good foot prints.

2013 was opposite to 2008.

                  2013, the 13^th of July was another shock.

I was eager, thinking when the 13^th of July 2013 will come but at the same time I was worried whether the faithful and loyal party will come to the power. In the due course of the time, the day of what I was actually waiting was come. The night of the day was again another worry for me.

The two parties that had qualify for primary round was Druk Phunsum Tshokpa (DPT) and People Democratic Party (PDP).The result of NA was going to declared in the evening of the day. The memory of 2008 election result for NA was fresh in my mind. I was having the doubt of same victory as that of 2008. The 2008 election for NA was in fact a landslide victory to DPT by PDP and making a world smallest opposing party. Of the 47 seats for NA, only 2 seats were for PDP in 2008.

I have predicted that the PDP will come as Opposing party with more number of seats. Minimum of 20 seats in NA was what I actually predicted. In deed I was having a decision that cannot be decided. Sometime, my mind said that the PDP will come as Ruling party and DPT as Ruling Party sometime. The unstable mind of mine was made stable with one thought, when the result of NA election was declared. It wasn’t stable although result was declared. The 15 seats were taken by DPT this time and remaining 32 seats were taken by DPD. With that result, the new government was created. PDP, the opposing party in first parliament session was Ruling party this time and the DPT, the ruling party in 2008 to 2013 NA was Opposing party.

I have no comment on result of NA for 2013 only if the present Ruling party does the duty well and fulfill their pledges. My comment on result of NA in 2013 will emerges when elected government does opposite to what they have said during campaigns periods.

To the new government, the Ruling party, PDP, Tashi Delek and hope your party will let the sun shine in every corner with justice. And to the new opposing party, DPT, thank you very much for your tireless, dedicate, faithful and hardship during last 5 years in your tenure and Tashi Delek for coming as opposing party.

Modifying my blog page. Its taking a time as I am doing without any knowledge of where to modify, how to modify and many more. After an hour , when i could do some change in page of my blog , I am satisfied with my task.

Semester are like running stream.

                                        Semester too short for me.

Completing 8 semesters in Engineering College is too long for most of the people. The 19^th July, 2011 was the first day, I reported to college to pursued Electronic and communication engineering program. I was dreaming about when I will reached 8^th semesters (final year), when I saw final year students. Thinking again and again let my mind to expose in tension world. The mind in tension world get out of tension world when the Introductory night and Tag night was organized. It was nights that forget every tension. As time passed by the tension of going through 8 semesters fade and become vivid in my mind.

Now I am in fifth semester without any memory of how 4 semesters has been passed. For me semester appears to be short as summer lightning. The busy semester made semester too short. The week appears for me as day when tight schedule was present. Indeed semester was short for me. A days making weeks, weeks making month, few months ultimately making a semester was unnoticeable for busy Jigme Zangpo.

When I think of few semesters left for graduating, I am absolutely excited but on the other hand graduating with knowledge that is baseless that contribute nothing to society and help nothing to self, I feel so sorry and sad. However I am still not late to built the base that withstand the pressures of society benefit and self too in near future. The almost 4 semester I have willed more than enough for preparing my Engineering base quality a firm and good that will trust by society, if not by world. let me have trust on my capacity and will work upon building the base a firm.

The Valley misunderstand as Golden Valley

To be talked about golden valley, one should wise enough to defined the real meaning of valley on top of knowing what present in the valley. In regards to golden valley, the criteria for being the golden valley should be fulfilled. The way of considering the valley as golden valley will depends upon the individual perception. The perception that has dwells over my heart and soul for being valley as golden valley;

 World itself is illusory and happiness is illusory. In fact the word happiness is dragging way to ocean of anguish. The only way of making life a meaningful is by practicing the Dharma. Zangthi valley is overview as golden valley as the characteristic for golden valley are present. The humble people with good respect for elders, love and care for younger one and faith for everyone as a chain with unbreakable joint. The three unbelievable part of Zangthi valley bring astonish to every people who visit to Valley. In the core of the first part of valley which is the resident of Buli Trulku and upper part of Buli Trulku resident is the Drupkhang, the place for yogis for daily prayers. People spending a night at that place will ask his mind to stay one more night and will go on asking his or her mind again one more night. The only reason for loving to hold night after night is the place having the scenario of place of Buddha. Lower part of Buli Trulku resident is the resident for simple and humble people, gelongs and anums. The place is similar to upper part of Buli Trulku resident. The present of calm and peace valley throughout the year gives a sense of valley as golden valley. In fact the valley that will offer enlightens to one who resident with pure mind and practicing Dharma.

 Thinking of what the valley was and what it present made me to miss a valley and insisting my mind to visit once a year. I am happy to see that present of my body at that valley. Its gives me a satisfaction after I visit the place. My only prayers and wishes for the place is let the place become the more calm and peaceful than ever and I becoming one of the supporter of the valley to maintain the spirit of present.

will I make to 5th semester?

With a mind of hurry to go for vacation, I prepare the last exam for 4th semester. Thinking back to the dated of 4th till 15th June of what I have wrote in the paper ( Exam) but couldn't say strongly that I will be back.



Hope I will be coming back to college next semester.

No where but still in college

Its long time, I post my last article. Due to the end semester exam, I couldn't update my writing. I will be back after a month.

Responsibility coming on the way

Being an elder brother from family is something to shoulder that younger’s brother and sister cannot do. The duty and feeling of eldest brother is good if I can serve my family. The burden of being elder brother, when I think of serving my family at this juncture when it’s impossible for me, is really a disheartening and feeling sad. The incapability of serving family at this juncture when it’s time to serve made me to think a lot. Sometime the unending thoughts especially at night, when I go to bed disturb my mind mentally and let my sleep go somewhere. I don’t know how my brother and sister have thoughts on serving of family. For me it’s something a tension when think of serving needy family at this point. I control my mind, not to think about it because thinking just adds tension in my mind. If the thinking of serving family is the solution in reality, the countless thoughts of mine in serving would have done, what I am supposed to do. So, thinking gives me a problem and I try to do away. I am eager to serve my family as fast as I can.

The gratitude for parent in bringing in this wonderful world and given every possible thing to me is always within me and now it’s my turn and times to repay my parents. Father and mother, for me, is everything. I have nothing to compare them in this world in terms of great. In fact they are greatest in this world. I am sad to know that I can’t repay them even in my next life. So I wish I am child of them till the mother earth exits. Seeing what I wish is impossible, remind me of only solution in repaying parents by having entered as a monk with pure mind. The hardships they have taken in bringing the sibling to condition that society believe is really a difficult task. Thinking the difficulties they have undergone, I have nothing to repay at this point of time when I am also in needy condition but I only I could do is to pray to kenchosum and Tsa-Wa-Lam to let my father and mother be the happiest man and woman on the earth. I wish always that my father and mother is in good condition. I love my dad and mum. And I love my sister Yedam Dema who always with my father and mother. On top of thanking father and mother for caring me, I have again somebody to thanks them. They are none other than my responsible sibling who always helps in serving our dad and mum. All my brother and sisters have soft mind and have mind to look after dad and mum and among us. I love my brother and sisters. I am sure that I could give my sister Yedam a good time when I am serving family after few years.

Tsa-Wa-Lam

My success is solely depending on what my Tsa-Wa-Lam has blessed me. I believe on my Tsa-Wa-Lam. Whatever I do for the day, I start with praying to my Tsa-Wa-Lam as soon as I get up. Before I go to bed at night I again pray to my Tsa-Wa-Lam. Infact Tsa-Wa-Lam is always with me. Wherever I go or wherever I stay, I assumed my Tsa-Wa-Lam is along with me, on forehead during day time and in the heart of me during night time. I should have discipline in doing whatever I do knowing that Tsa-Wa-Lam is always with me. To let my events to be successful I have to have faith on Tsa-Wa-Lam. Without good faith I can’t have the successful event. My Tsa-Wa-Lam is enlighten and I believe if I pray and have good faith on my Tsa-Wa-Lam , there is no worry that my event will unsuccessful.

Hope of success go along with kenchosum.

Hoping a success and sweating is not the solution for me. As I believe in what we called the previous karma. If we have a connection in previous life that what we are doing this life, then thing will be much organize one. Praying to Tsa- Wa- lam and kenchoksum along with hardship is what I believe to have a success. To proceed my duty, I first pray to kenchosum. To let my proceed task shouldn’t be struck on the way. I regret for wasting my life doing meaningless task. I will bring my mind home and at least train my mind to be stable. Just by praying to kenchosum is not a solution for way to success. It’s only the way that’s your plan have no struck on the way of pursuing what you are pursuing

Who is Next now?

The blooming of flowers in most trees is yet started and the chirping of birds for the first time for that year (2004) has yet another marking of season. It’s exactly the time for school going children has come. Gom Dorji, a straight forward boy was in six. Gom was talented boy in every field be it games , studies and all round and of course bet naughty too. As he returns home from school at late night, he meets Namgay, a talkative, thin tall and charming lady. He gives his first sight to her at that time. Gaining of once heart was difficult in some cases. However due to previous karmic connection between them, as he requested to her as true lover, she accepted. The day of happiness for him began and ultimately for her. As time pass by, they went to date in weekends and share feelings and even kept so many promises for the future. They even spent night together.

As great Tibetan yogi Milarepa said “meeting in separation”, the time has come for them to depart. They are now in different valley as he has to study in Minjiwonng which is one day walk from village and she is still in village. He has the faith on her as he love her but he never know how she was tricky. As he was out of her sight, she started making new relation. However, when he comes for holiday she gives him a sign of love. Their relation last till the girl was pregnant of other boy. In between the girl was pregnant; he heard many things which usually were bad news. However he never believes what middle person says until and unless he sees with his eyes. I personally felt sympathy on the way he love and have great appreciation on his unwavering love. What you would do if your trusted girl done same as in the story?

 The days of together with Namgay was memorable and ultimately his unforgettable memories in his life. As she was now in that condition, circumstances force him to think a lot. Should I be her boy still? What his other boy would do on me, if I still be her boy? What other would think when I go in between then? Those thought all together asked him to forget her but she is still in his mind as she was his first love.

After a year pass by as he was now in Nganglam School, he love one girl. He controls his mind not to love her. When he thinks of what Namgay did, he decided to love to fade away his unforgettable hurt that was in his bottom of heart. After repeated request and waiting almost for a year Pema accept him. Days were short as days of winter when he has a time to stay with her even thought it was days of summer which is longer than other seasons. With full of hope and trust on pema, he decide that she to be his life partner. But the decision of Gom get alter when her previous boy meet with her in Nangkor school. Don’t even trust friends when we can’t trust ourselves. He was astonished to hear someone going negotiate between pema and his boy. He knows life is meaningless until and unless we make it meaningful. So, he understands the cruel mind of friends and takes it as a phenomenon of the life.

Meditation is only source of purifying our mind and can hold mind in right place.

Don't ask me, when did you join monk and start practicing meditation. Its my way of life. Of course, I am man similar to you all but I do meditation with sincere mind. The mind placing on top of tip of pyramid is how I did my meditation. Remember, all the great and learned man did and is doing meditation for holding their mind in right place. So, I am practicing to follow what learned man does. Hope you are also doing or will be doing now.

We are determined Electronic and Communication Engineer. We are optimistic.

Sorrow of 2005

Sorrow of 2005 still lingered in my heart. The unbelievable sorrow, because it was just simply unbearable which I had better experienced for past year. The stimulus of sorrow hurt me a lot and letting my heart to breaking into pieces. The sharp sorrow which can be compared with sharp knife which doesn't cut apple into piece but my heart till the bottom gives me a sense with no touch. The nonstopable thought of event of sharp sorrow is always within me.

I tried to void it but couldn't. I am back to world for second time in this life. I am confused when I say coming world for second time. I can clear my confusion when I compare who I am right now and who I was and what the condition was in 2005. I was almost dead in 2005. Having the condition that I appreciated is what I called life for second time in this life. I am who I am right now. For me being the man that going to stand before crowd was only because of my ken-cho-sum , tsa-wa-lam and family. Father, mother, brother and sisters are whom I offer my gratitude and felicitation along with pure mind. To them I have long way to go in repaying them and respect them. I thanks for them for sharing my unforgettable and unbearable sorrow of 2005.

24th April, 2013

Reflection of 24th April , 2013. It was 5:00 in the evening and I was eager to know the result of votes for National Councils of the 20 dzongkhag , particularly the Samdrup Jongkhar dzongkhag.

 I opened the kuenselonline website and automatically the candidate of every dzongkhag was displaying but there wasn’t result of votes. After waiting and reloading the website, few dzongkhag results were displayed. I login to twitter and found that for Samdrup Jongkhar, Jigme Wangchuk has reelected as National Council. I was astonished for his success for second time and without delaying my time I looked on the home page of kuenselonline to see the results of votes. He has secured more than 5000. More than 2000 and 1000 for other two candidates respectively.

 Including my dzongkhang, there were 6 formor NC get elected. NCs reelecting for second time took my mind away from my mind home to realization parlor. The merit job they contributed in 1st five year of their tenure to people of country and their respective dzongkhag provide the path to reelected. I wish all the elected NC to have wonderful and have successful tenure.

The day to look back. When I say I am successful I should not forget whom to thank for letting me to follow the track of success. The only source may be equals to chief advisor, the parents is non-other than our 2nd parent the teacher. The 2nd May of every year celebrated as teacher’s day in spite of celebrating birth anniversary of the 3rd druk gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuk in Bhutan. I extend my heart felt felicitation to wish all time of teacher to have a wonderful life ahead for their selfless dedications and hard work in shaping of every students. It’s not on 2nd may that I wish a teacher but the unnoticeable prayer and thought of teacher to have good life is always within me

.1, 2, 3, ………………………………………… …….63,64. I count the number of teacher that taught me till date. Its 64. I don’t know how much teacher that I have. That was only counts that taught me but there are many teacher who gives me the valuable advice which in fact change my course of life to fine one. As rightly said “if there is no teacher, there will be no Buddha. The Buddha of past are all product of teacher”. Teachers are the candle that gives us a light in the dark room. Our ignorance is made to vanish by our teacher. They are in fact our entire sight that let to see the mother earth. Therefore, there is nothing grate than a teacher. Teachers are the source of knowledge, path of success and wisdom too. Without them we are like a frog of pond having time seeing limited space up in the sky and have nothing opportunity.

Now, to reader hold your mind for a while to reflect back to the childhood day, you caring by teachers. Take up in position such that legs are being crossed and place your hand pump facing sky and lean on your thigh. Take a long breath and go back to the time that you are in pp. What you have in pp. stage? Who modified your life? ……………………….If you at least remember what you were in that stage, you might have realize how important is teacher to you when you compare that stage with current stage. The international news papers, the international television, local news paper and local television give the information about live and love of acter and actress, the popularity of country GDP, the intelligence of latest man in discovered fields. This are the news really mark the smile on every individual face, soul and mind. What if the news isn’t the above case, instead a poor man having no cloth to wear, no food to eat and shelter to shelter him. Hardly a people think over it. I have read few lines in one of the page on facebook and come to learn that the chaos of world emerge due to people misusing the power. They say that the things are meant for use and people are meant for love but this is never happen rather things are being love and people are being used. As a consequences the chaos of world emerges.

To be noted other philosophy and act accordingly.

To be noted. (My philosophy) My philosophy may not be your philosophy. Its difference may exist that of South Pole differing from North Pole and may not like that of South Pole and North Pole for few. I may not describe as time conscious man but somehow I follow to be time conscious man. “Time and tide wait for no man” is what I believe. My believe in time become more strengthen when “Procrastination is theft of time “is reminded. No one is above my time but few exceptions. I should do that I suppose to do. On top of being time conscious I am self believer. Unless the opinion has wide range of evidence to be proof I am self believer. I appreciated anyone who achieved and participants but remember I neglect one always do opposite to me. I am happy when you bring me in right track with good intention.

My senses of human being know what you try to do. I understand what they do and learn what they do. The vivid image of opposed one is within self and meeting in reality again add fuel to previous. My mind would be in rest only I am in another valley. To every individual of class, I oath “I don’t have any grievances because you all are good to me”. I may be wrong to print inedible mark under bottom of heart and soul about who you are. I believe the time and the circumstances matter. With the time passes the change of habit of individual is on the way.

As Guru Rinpoche has rightly said “དུས་ནི་མི་འསྦྱུར་མི་རྣམས་འསྦྱུར་བ་ཡིན་” “the time will not change but people will”. The other side of meadow may always look greener than current meadow. For me both side of meadow are same for my soul and heart. To have greenery on both side of meadow is our mind that adjusts. I have greenery friend on both sides. The only regret for friend greenery is one mark that I captured recently. In a way I am satisfied with what they did for living creature. Living creature have mind that think same as what human does. Living creature are living being.

GNH.................................................

Sparkling idea, GNH. Ranging from the humble people till the leader of the humble people, the brilliant idea, GNH is the central aim for their deed. Every individual are sweating in the name of pursuing GNH. I personally believe this marvelous idea would inspire the people of other countries and is inspiring and has been inspired many peoples. For further enhancing the quality of concept, GNH is to have calm, peace and stable mind. The arrogant, selfish, shrewd and dirty mind of people would helpless in enhancing the quality of philosophy, GNH. To obtain the calm, peace and stable mind which can be trusted by Buddha there is no other way than practicing regular meditation with sincerity but the alternative way that wait to obtain that contribute in enhancing the quality of GNH could be practicing Dharma.

When I say practicing Dharma I do not mean that one should enter as a monk and go for meditation in secret place. What I actually want to convince is having the mind of sympathy, empathy and having mind of helping other on top of having self discipline. Having minded of contrivable to GNH makes the vast difference with untrained mind. There is no question of gaining the trained mind (ideal mind) from untrained mind. One could simply attain the mind of trained mind only and only if you are the regular and sincere meditator. On the other hand you are the believer of Buddha. It’s not necessary; you are the follower of Buddha. Whatever you are following but the final aim you are leading to attain trained mind is more than sufficient.

The trained mind of the people is source which will contribute in enhancing the quality of GNH. When you proceed anything think you at least your task contribute to GNH. Talking endlessly about concept of GNH will never realize until you give relevant in GNH enhancing when you proceed anything.

DDC, Dzongkha Development Commission

The program of Dzongkha Development Commission held in College of Science and Technology. March 12, 2013, in morning assembly Director of our college notified the arrival of people of DDC in our campus tomorrow. As scheduled, the honorable deputy director of DDC along with officials of DDC arrived in campus at 2 pass. In fact I was inspired with his talks and educate me, how and why enhancing of national language Dzongkha is relevant these days. Before, DDC director start his vision and mission of tour of DDC in various schools and college he start with differentiating the various ages of world in his perception. The ages dividing into three; the age of wars (the 19th century), the age of idea (toward the ends of 19th century) and the age of peace in 21st century. The age of peace of 21st century demand the relationship among countries and the identity of individual country too. Identity in small way that our country has is the National language. The identity of national language is more important as it represent the existences of our country long time back. As Director mentioned that the researchers specially the one who take blood sample of individual speaking different language and having text on them shows the existence of Bhutan much before China and Tibet. Having this concept, we Bhutanese should appreciate and enhance our national language. But director said that it is sad to learn that most of people are speaking and communicating in other language. For example when he go somewhere he said “Apa ge laptop, toothbrush, Colgate, trowel, (and so on in English) tshuk”. Here only first words Apa ge and last word tshuk is dzongkha and rest are all English. This give an evidence that our national language is vanishing without our notice. Now times have come for every individual to take initiative in promoting national language. Language isn’t the culture and culture cannot be language. Culture should be preserved for future generation. On the other hand, as technology advances the new object place in the way, so the obstacle arises in naming of object in our language. So, director asked every individual to have opinion in giving name of new objects. He covered many topic related to development of national language. In my opinion, we the Bhutanese are responsible for detoriating the national language as we always speak other language. We have seen many leader (head of any institutions, schools, organization and so on) comfortably speaking in English. Hardly have we seen those people speaking in our national language. National language, Dzongkha is our identity and we have right to promote.

The Mind and the body.

Mind and Body. The great people say that the mind is the commander (king) of body and the body is the servant of mind. In fact body always follows what mind decides. Universe knows that the mind is superior to body. So, frequently say think before you do something by most of the people. Losing of consciousness is absent of mind. A street mad man is an example of body with lose mind. He don’t have sense of human as there is no mind, the king to be control his deed that done by his body. He go where ever the legs steps. He has no destination to move. He eats whatever he picks up. He may stay without cloths. The mischievous behavior the mad man act is only because of his mind getting diverges somewhere. But where his mind diverges cannot explain as I am still on way of learning the difference between mind and body.

 I can’t differentiate between mind and body as Buddha did. Body is just another material you can find in this world. Look at the chair in your room, desk and all other stuff, trees, plants, and of course, other's bodies. Try to find the difference between them and your body. Your body is just another material but it is the one connected to your mind. Mind comes as a guest for short period. And the host is the body. They may get separated at any time, when mind losing from body. That difference is that the mind, soul, and spirit were created eternal but the body is only temporary. The body temporarily houses the soul. Mind is the one that we should give care and utilize in our best way.

On the other hand don’t forget that taking care of body after you hear that mind is superior to body. They sometime go in hand to hand and are interrelated. To understand more about the importance between mind and body one has to hear from great people and should have a sincere meditation.

The stability of mind determines the stability of man. Man with stable mind is enlightened. It is the mind that determines the life consequences. In the bottom line, if you really need your mind to be stable, one should have the Buddha mind and be the disciple of Buddha teaching. And be the true disciple of Buddha teaching.

short moment.

Irritating moment. Friends are meant for help not for counting the number of friends for pressure with mind, I have many friends and letting other to know you are sociable. “Friend in need is friend in deed”. Every one of my friend knows that I am no good. I assume my friend thought as I act peculiarly in front of them without any hesitation be it good or bad deed that he or she may hurt. I speak whatever comes in my mouth. The word I speak is the word which come first. There is no priority of words from my mouth which to go first depending on good or bad. Remember this is the habit of childhood days. Now I am no more who I was in childhood days. I am grown up and know what is good and bad. When someone ask someone to help someone, someone turn deaf ear to someone and moment will be irritating to someone

Religion and Science.

Religion and science. “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind”. Analyzing the powerful sentences that has left by learned man “Albert Einstein”, I can say that science and religion is correlate and they should go in hand to hand to have stronger bond and make progress. Science has everything in the sense of practical, observation based on proof and everyone can see the outcome of what science has proof. They have outcome to show to people so that people do agree how science is powerful than religion if someone has conflict between science and religion but we don’t have to differentiate it. "The Goal of Science is understanding lawful relations among natural phenomena whereas Religion is a way of life within a larger framework of meaning." (Ian Barbour, "Religion and Science," pg. 204) " With the statement of relation between science and religion that is, “Science and religion are two windows that people look through, trying to understand the big universe outside, trying to understand why we are here. The two windows give different views, but both look out at the same universe. Both views are one-sided, neither is complete. Both leave out essential features of the real world. And both are worthy of respect." ( Physicist Freeman Dyson) Believe in above statement that spoke by great people who have given more time in analyzing before he say. In the end it may be mentioned that religion is a social phenomenon as well as personal and individual. On the other hand we would be wrong to say that science has made man irreligious or that it is an enemy of morality. Its matter of one’s thinking that makes religion and science a different. I believe that science and religion are the brotherhood to attend the progress of world. Due to my limited vocabulary I am not in position to bring you that science and religion are of no different.

 Man has a body as well as a spirit. Science is concerned only with the body; it can do nothing for the sprit. Science may provide man with physical comforts, but it is religion alone which can give him the courage to struggle against heavy odds. He may even face death itself, with a smiling face. It is religion and religion alone, which can bring the healing balm for his wondered spirit. In this alarming world the learned man especially in science filed have given their efficient support in making the religion more transparent. They have contributed in terms of financial and the words to the world of science to understand that religion is their brother. The conversion of Buddhist text (Kanjur and Tenjur) in English medium is one of the events we can appreciate that religion is going popular.

Electronic and Communication Engineering in Bhutan.

I am second year student pursuing bachelors’ degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering. I am still unknown to program. Unknown in the sense the job availability in the market. As I informed with information of the nation, there is limited job available for E&CE graduate. There are companies and corporations in our nation that support task for E&C graduates. Every year E&C graduate are left behind with no jobs. As many of students of engineer knows, how trough is the course E&C engineer program. But after sweating and suffering for four year, E&C graduates reward with what we called helpless. It is amazing to learn that even literate people don’t know what the E&CE stand for. E&CE stand for Electronic and communication engineering. Electronics engineering, or electronic engineering, is an engineering discipline where non-linear and active electrical components such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, are utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and systems, typically also including passive electrical components and based on printed circuit boards. The term denotes a broad engineering field that covers important subfields such as analog electronics, digital electronics, consumer electronics, embedded systems and power electronics. Electronics engineering deals with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within many related fields, for example solid-state physics,radio engineering, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, systems engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering,electric power control, robotics, and many others.

I am still on the way of learning what programs define it. I have interest and unwavering mind of knowing at least tips of ice berg. I do have hope to see myself doing task of my program after I complete it. Definitely, I am going to launch something that related to my program that I undertake. The day will come for me to realize, when the situation that happen to E&C graduate this day but remember I don’t want to realize situation at that time. I have hoped to let the worst situation to get away from my side and let me work over it to get away. One thing what I confuse is that why we the Bhutanese E&CE graduates don’t have privilege to have task in second and third countries? I heard from some senior, senior in a way are the lectures and many exposed people especially expert in E&C fields said that we will get in second and third countries if we have skills. And years pass by I am hoping that the situation will get change in job market and definitely it will in next ten years. haha.

Fate that wait for me.

Fate dominates the way of life. I was born in society that has rich in orthodox and believe on superstition. I don’t have any comment of being grown up in that society, instead I am happy to know that I am brought up by informing all the concept of superstition. It’s not that society is believed in superstition but fate is what Buddhist society believes. I have trust on fate. The outcome of this life is the result of previous life as mention in Buddhists philosophy is what I believe. My society is enriched of Mahayana (Nyingma / Tersa) for past few decades.
 Today the scenario of village is image of sometime what we called heaven. Every subject is the believer of fate. Believe in life after dead. I am also among them to believe in fate. The overlooking mountain with wide valley contains the truth giver to guide the subject to next life. The right lower valley has the residence for monk of shedra (Buddhist College) and left valley has the residence for yogi (Nyeljorpa). The fate society made me to have fate on everything I processed.
 Now moving in line with fate of my life, I stand today in front of crowd with fate. Fates give me a privilege to love her and I do respect fate and love her with my full heart. I don’t want to see my favorite suffering in other hand. I hope favorite is always safe. In this transient life, I meet favorite due to fate but favorite is on other side of my heart. I hope I can one day fulfill the unrealistic dream. I pray and dream that favorite is mine forever.

Different Things

      Keeping something within is safer than sharing, if it never going to fulfill.

I have kept my secret within me from day I entered in the college. I thank god for making me wiser by keeping my secret within which otherwise I would have gone wrong. But I sometime regret for keeping things within with thought that I might have fulfill if I have share to particular person that I supposed to share. Now the secret is no more secret, I have tune the word secret into exactly the opposite of secret.

They know I do have secret and knows the fact of secret specially the one that supposed to know the secret. I am neither Karma Jigdrel nor CR but Jigme Zangpo. I usually prefer to keep my name as Karma Jigdrel on many of my documents. This not because I like name and meaning of name but its just because the karma itself has great meaning in it. Karma can be name of anyone but one of karma knows that I am also karma of karma. I select karma out of hundreds of name because karma is composed of many good features. For instance people are expected to have fine behavior, good personality on top of having external beauty. With accordance with instance, karma has everything that the above cited people have. so, i love karma. I hope to see my transient life getting spend and completing with karma.

Work done for them

                               Work done for them and has time for disturbance.

During his college life, he could witness the friends called work done for them and has time for disturbance. He explains me about that event without wise and compassion words because they don’t deserve it.  What you think that in what way he has explained me?  Definitely what you assumed about his explanation to me is heading in right direction unless you have no positive assumption in this regards. You would realize the correctness of you assumption when I write few of his explanations to me.

The time for study in college started at 8:00 pm sometime but to my friend it’s not. Their time is around mid night when everybody is snoring. Instead of studying in this hour they are busy polluting the noise, if not playing something in corridor that disturbs someone.

Above is what he told me when he is in college life. Now, knowing the scenario of my friend’s college life, I develop feeling on that event.  I wonder if those guys are one without parent that has no experience of receiving advice in their life time. Not really because there cannot be guys without parent but there may one or two. Those one or two are behaving good as he said. What we should conclude about these guy. Are they hooliganisms? May be but not exactly.  May be as you know their behavior. Not exactly because they are never caught by authority. It’s better treated them as silence hooliganism. 

I am happy; the environment of college in my college is totally different from my friend’s college in term of environment.

Gelong?

                                                Life as an ordain.

It’s astonishing to be see the one who prefer their live as ordain. I wish I am what they are because they are really doing a merit task for every single minute. I know many of us blame about their deed when they commit mischievous deed which is really a minor. Never assume that they are perfect, as no one is perfect, so they do. Their commitment and endeavor toward attending the happiness of all sentient being in the world is what I actually appreciate from my bottom of heart and I do respect their deed. They understand, everything is illusory and temporary. Hence they say happiness in the world is temporary and ultimately illusory. In fact the happiness is the main cause in plunging in the ocean of anguish. Therefore what we could conclude is that impermanence and empty is the nature of all phenomenon.

Our way of life is opposite to their way of life. But one thing we have with us that we could do is way of thinking and deed. If we can at least avoid no good thought, it’s more than sufficient and that will almost equal to what we called merit thought. Now I pray, let the sun shine in every nook and corner of world and remove the darkness that has covered once hearts and souls.

REGRET

I don’t suppose I am a human being. By nature of birth, as every human is done, I am human.  We are cruel living being residing in this modern techno-savvy world. We destruct other happiness by exhausting life of animals. There is no single animal that had not become our parents in a previous life. Writing this statement does not mean that I know everything about the past. I am speaking based on what lama and great people said. Taking away another life in the name of celebrating and benefiting oneself is not always justified. We are here on the earth meant for doing justice. We can at least do justice by staying as a vegetarian.

Some said that non-vegetarian isn't doing sin as far as one has good thought. To believe it, I need someone to paraphrase detail for me. I say we are killing animals because if we don’t demand there will be no one to buy. No customer no butchers. So, killing animals and having good thoughts won’t be balancing. I conclude it is not a wise decision to be a non-vegetarian and has good thoughts rather it would good if we could achieve both.

Social media

                                        Social Media does more harm than good.

 As technology advances, so does mankind's means of communicating and socializing. Social networking has increased the ability of people to communicate and socialize, whether city, state, nation and even worldwide, social networking sites have clearly had a positive impact on society. In fact, social media can be a powerful tool for social change and an alternative to more traditional methods of communication.  The power of internet in making Democracy transparency, strengthening of relation, balancing of child’s privacy and parent’s right and benefit of social media to the students will be as follows.

Social networking sites play a role in shaping the political landscape. More than a quarter of US voters younger than age 30 (including 37% of those aged 18-24) said they obtained information about the political campaigns from social networking sites. In May 2009, the White House announced that it was joining Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace to meet President Barack Obama's call one week earlier "to reform our government so that it is more efficient, more transparent, and more creative."  (ProCon.org, August 10, 2012.). Social Media in many ways is doing a great deal to advance and develop a democratic culture. For instance, the Chief Election Commissioner who heads a prestigious and powerful institution interacts on a daily basis with ordinary citizens on the social media. Another example is the Prime Minister who along with dollops of praise and unsolicited advice also tolerates the occasional criticism from some of his 5,000 ‘friends’ on face book. Social media in one sense is an alternative medium apart from the media that allows the voices of ordinary citizens to reach the powerful. (The Bhutanese, September 12, 2012). Internet was also used as a tool to organize pro-democracy protest in a number of Middle-Eastern countries including Tunisia, Egypt and Syria. ( Wright,n.d,2012)

The Internet not only helps to bring communities and the world closer together but also distribute information. With the ability for anybody to easily and quickly share rich information online, via a whole host of tools, the Internet serves bring people together. Firstly take for instance social networks. Friends can remain connected to each other when miles apart. People can maintain and even create friendships without the barrier of geography. Additionally, social networks have a capacity to distribute news in a timely and targeted manner, directed at the people whom it mostly concerns, that is far greater than that of traditional media cannot compete.  Secondly there are many instances of hyper-local news communities springing up online in which people can truly engage in their community, and help improve it. This model can and is extended to bigger areas, helping to engage society for its greater good. For example Fillthathole.org.uk, provides a nationwide portal for U.K. citizens to report road potholes. Thirdly the Internet brings the world together by not only encouraging direct communication with people from other countries, but also by being able to share and distribute information in a way which traditional forms of communication could not do.( Wright,n.d,2012).

On the other hand, social networking sites balance a child's privacy and a parent's right to know. A classic clash always happens when pitting the right to privacy of a child against the right to know of a parent. However, social networking sites find a good medium, so that neither side is overlooked. For instance, on Facebook, teenagers may have private conversations with friends over the private messaging system, but the parents of these teenagers will still be able to keep track of things such as posts made to other friends' walls and pictures posted. Social networking sites give parents the ability to keep tabs on many of their child's online postings, such as pictures and personal information, but without having to directly invade on their child's privacy; this again proves that social networking sites have had a positive effect on society.( debate.org,n.d,2012).
Social networking sites bring people with common interests’ together, offer exposure to new ideas from around the world and lower inhibitions to overcome social anxiety. On top of above advantages, 59% of students with access to the Internet report that students use social networking sites to discuss educational topics including career and college planning and 50% use the sites to talk about school assignments. It is said  that using these sites helps students improve their reading, writing, and conflict resolution skills, learn to express themselves more clearly, and meet new and different kinds of students from around the world.( ProCon.org, August 10, 2012)

In many ways social media has become the ‘citizen’s media’ where ordinary citizens with varying levels of content become instant citizen journalists either reporting on an event or sharing their opinion. Facebook reports approximately 90 million users in the US and 300 million active users worldwide (Sep. 15, 2009), MySpace reports more than 32 million US users and 130 million worldwide (Aug. 4, 2009), and Twitter has an estimated 54 million users worldwide (Oct. 13, 2009).(ProCon.org,Aug 10,2012). It signifies that the social media is doing more good than harm. Social networking sites become more integrated in modern culture and the benefits outweigh any downsides

I’ve lifted the following description of the Ache Lhomoi dance  from the Asia-Pacific Database on Intangible Cultural Heritage. It was written by Lopen Phuntsho Gyeltshen of the Royal Academy of Performing Arts.
Ache Lhamo or Ashe Lhamo is regarded more as drama rather than dance, but many scholars accept it as dance-drama flourished in Bhutan since a long time back.
The characteristics
Ache Lhamo literally means Sister Goddess or Lady Goddess. This is performed by herdsmen once a year in keeping with the local customs. It tells or relates stories of people famed for their piety and miraculous achievements be it spiritual or temporal. The repertoire of this art was not very broad and the style of presentation cultivated by each group varies, although the overall performance of the general framework is the same. The dance by one man and a woman is accompanied by the rhythm of the cymbal and beating of the large-sided drum, while the story unfolds in operatic recitative and chorus. Aside from the main performance comic scenes are acted with great brilliance.
The Merak Saktenpa people perform this dance-drama once a year, for five days at a time. Apart from the yearly festival, Ache Lhamo is performed, at some great monastery or wealthy noble’s house and other special events of national importance.
History
The Tibetan saint and the bridge-builder Thangtong Gyalpo, in the 14th century, began his project of building iron bridges over many big rivers in Tibet. To provide adequate provisions for the laborers he developed an interesting means for collecting donations. The Chhongje Bena family with seven daughters was called upon and to each daughter he assigned different roles, while he himself beat the drum. A large audience was gathered and everyone who watched the play enjoyed it very much. This was the first time that drama was introduced in Tibet.
During the late 14th century, the saint expanded his activity of bridge construction over Bhutan, and it is believed that along with him this art traveled to Bhutan.
The saint regarded his building of iron-suspension bridges and related engineering feat as a practical application of thebodhisattva ideal, and his introduction of this dance-drama Ache Lhamo is in no way different from any Buddhist activity. He is also credited for the introduction of other classical dances and folk performing arts.
